My Suigintou costume i made for manifest! I started the patterns in march and completed sewing it all in late august...

Costume consists of:
bonnet
collar
ruffle top
ruffle sleeve
over top with puff and split sleeve
crinolin
gathered petticoat with ruffle
over skirt
knickerbockers
socks with a ruffle
wings

Materials:
navy blue cotton drill
black poplin (lining for bonnet, collar, over top and overskirt)
white cotton drill (crosses)
white poplin
white tulle
black velvet ribbon
deep purple velvet ribbon (roses)
black 'alice' loops (edging on bonnet, collar and top neckline)
white lace
nylon boning
black elastic
white elastic
white + black gutermann polyester thread

For the wings i used 200-300grams of black turkey feathers cut and reshaped; gardenwire, plastic gutter guard, ducktape and polyester wadding for the wing frames; all purpose craft glue for sticking on the feathers.
